Pastel Premier has a unique surface that is double primed and coated with an aluminum oxide created exclusively for Handbook Paper Co. This produces an ideal surface for pastel painting. A final seal coat is then applied to help make the surface extremely durable and able to withstand almost any measure of scrubbing and reworking. The paper works with a wide range of wet media as an under0painting and accepts as many as 25 layers of pastels.
